JOHN FLOWER (Founder and Director)
The mix of experience, dynamism, passion and innovation within our team is second to none. John Flower, Director, has impeccable credentials in the culinary, fashion and events sectors having owned seminal Melbourne eateries in the 80s and 90s and as a public face, for the media, at Australian Fashion Week for over a decade.
Like many HotHouse staff, John has lived and worked in both Sydney and Melbourne and counts senior editorial staff throughout the country as trusted friends.
MICHELLE SHEPHERD (Director)
Fellow Director, Michelle Shepherd, returned to Australia in 2003 after 11-years in the competitive UK PR and magazine industry. Michelle’s experience in the UK spanned fashion and lifestyle brands, both local and international.
On her return to Australia, Michelle spent time at Spin Communications and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia before joining John at HotHouse in 2004. Michelle loves searching for the unique qualities in every client and her experience, ingenuity and ‘can do’ approach combine to create fresh, effective strategies and campaigns.
KATIE QUIRK (Senior Account Manager)
After graduating from Monash University with an Arts Degree in Journalism/Behavioural Studies, Katie kicked off her PR career in California where she worked for two years before moving back to her beloved Melbourne in 2012.
Since entering the world of PR, Katie has gained extensive experience working across both B2C and B2B accounts, managing campaigns for clients in the healthcare, legal, not-for-profit, automotive, construction, property, personal finance, consumer, retail and lifestyle industries among others.
COREY CROFT (Event Manager)
With over a decade of events and management experience, Corey knows what it takes to create a memorable event that engages consumers and media alike. Corey has international experience working with the M Group as Operations Manager at the iconic Glamour Bar in Shanghai, China where he managed prestigious events including the Shanghai International Literary Festival.
Locally, Corey has coordinated events for high profile venues such as Eureka 89 and San Telmo Melbourne. Managing the Sanpellegrino account Corey brings innovative solutions to their social media activities with a strong understanding of both the national and international events industries.
TESS FISHER (Account Manager)
When Tess graduated with Distinction from her Bachelor of Professional Communication at RMIT University, she had already spent two years at a top Melbourne boutique fashion and events PR agency.
Later moving to an in-house publicity role at Target Australia, Tess is familiar with both tailored local campaigns and large scale national events. This unique blend of in-house and agency experience makes Tess a valuable addition to the HotHouse team.
Tess prides herself on her flexibility and creativity whether it be for social media, media pitching or event management.
MAREE STARK (Finance and Human Resources)
Maree has been part of the HotHouse team since the company’s inception in 2004. With a long standing career in media and PR finance, Maree is an invaluable part of the HotHouse team.
