The Mission to Seafarers Victoria operates as an agency of the Anglican Church, and is one branch of a national and international network dedicated to the practical and spiritual well-being of merchant seafarers. On-shore facilities historically and today provide a home away from home for seafarers, as well as extended services supported by port chaplains, staff and volunteers. In Australia we have over 30 branches.
The Mission serves seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs. Services include ship-visiting, social and recreational pursuits, a means to contact home by letter, phone or internet, transport from berth to the Mission and back, welfare and legal services, mental, spiritual and physical health support at sea and port, and emergency help.
