We appointed HotHouse Media & Events to handle the PR for the first Melbourne Dog Lovers Show in 2013. Having previously experienced soft results from other PR agencies we had some reluctance, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made for the all-important launch show.
Michelle, John and their team worked tirelessly to secure millions of dollars’ worth of above and below the line coverage for the Dog Lovers Show which had no track record and was a brand new concept. They also worked closely with our media partners to ensure we maximised the PR opportunities across these key platforms including Channel 9, Channel 7, 3AW, Daily Telegraph and the Herald Sun.
I believe the success they have achieved for our business can be attributed to their strong relationships with the media, their genuine passion for our product and the fact they leave no stone unturned when seeking out PR opportunities.
Our relationship with HotHouse has only gotten stronger and we have consequently appointed them to handle the PR for every event our company has staged since 2013. We also have a lot of fun working with their team and there is no way we could run PR this well in-house.
In 2014 the Dog Lovers Show won Best Australian Show and Best Consumer Show at the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia’s Award for Excellence. In 2015 we successfully launched Sydney and in 2016, and Brisbane in 2017. HHME has been integral to our success every step of the way.
