Recently, HotHouse had the pleasure of working with Supernormal and exceptional photographer Harvard Wang on the spring menu photoshoot. Not only was our day full of culinary delights, we also and caught a glimpse (and had a taste) of the new dishes for September.
The new menu, with items including salad of purple sprouting broccoli, tofu, walnut & toasted seaweed and Grilled asparagus with Chinese sausage, heavily reflect the vibrant springtime produce, and as you can see, this has definitely translated to Harvard’s snaps.
Further to the new menu, you can also get a taste of the botanical inside the restaurant this week only, and dine among a specially designed floral installation by local florist, and frequent McConnell collaborator, Katie Marx. Right now, the entire dining area is filled with an abundance of cascading, delicate cherry blossoms, perfect for an Instagram snap while you tuck into the new menu.
Supernormal’s Wine Buyer extraordinaire, Leanne Altmann and her team will be hosting an intimate sake tasting and masterclass, in Supernormal’s private dining room, 3.00pm – 5.00pm on this Saturday 24 September. The event will highlight the debut of Supernormal’s delicious new gin cocktail, based on Jinzu gin and featuring sake with botanical cherry blossom.
Supernormal will also be collaborating with the Taste of Melbourne this spring, exhibiting their signature dishes with top chefs in a delightful lakeside alfresco setting of the Pelican Lawn, Albert Park Lake.
Safe to say, Supernormal is offering a fresh and unique culinary experience this season, check out the behind the scenes photos and final images below:
